PASSION • SACRIFICE • SPIRITUALITY
Camp Martin is the annual residential development programme of Martin Kafunda Football School (MKFS), established in honour of Martin Kafunda. Inspired by his legacy, Camp Martin is built around three attributes: Passion, Sacrifice and Spirituality. Through these values, we seek to develop the total person by nurturing football talent, strengthening Christian faith, building character and equipping young people with leadership and practical life skills.
We believe that young people need more than talent to succeed. They need discipline, purpose, resilience, faith and the ability to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Camp Martin provides an environment where these qualities can be learned, practised and carried into everyday life.
The camp is open to both MKFS players and young people from the wider community. You do not have to be an MKFS student to participate.
What Can Children Expect at Camp Martin?
Camp Martin is designed to be a memorable experience filled with learning, friendship, challenge and personal growth. Over seven days and six nights, participants will take part in activities that develop them both on and off the pitch.
Football Development
Children will participate in structured football training, skills challenges and friendly competitions designed to improve their abilities, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.
Faith and Spiritual Growth
Through daily devotions, prayer, Bible study and guided discussions, children will explore how Christian faith can shape their decisions, relationships and everyday conduct.
Character and Leadership
Through team challenges, shared responsibilities and practical activities, participants will learn the importance of honesty, respect, responsibility, communication, perseverance and servant leadership.
Life Skills for the Future
Children will engage in age-appropriate activities covering money management, personal hygiene, goal-setting, communication, digital safety and responsible decision-making.
Friendship, Teamwork and Adventure
Through house competitions, recreational activities and collaborative challenges, children will build friendships, learn to support one another and discover the value of working together.
Personal Growth and Recognition
Every participant will be encouraged to reflect on what they have learned, identify areas for improvement and develop personal goals to pursue after camp. Awards will recognise qualities such as sportsmanship, leadership, perseverance, responsibility and improvement.
Camp Martin welcomes children from Martin Kafunda Football School and the wider community. Whether your child is already developing as a footballer or simply looking for an opportunity to learn, grow and discover their potential, Camp Martin aims to provide an encouraging and supportive environment.
Participation will be subject to registration, parent or guardian consent and confirmation of the necessary health, accommodation and safeguarding arrangements.
The First Edition — April 2027
A new chapter in a lasting legacy.
The first edition of Camp Martin is planned for April 2027. This will mark the beginning of an annual initiative dedicated to inspiring young people through football, faith, character and purposeful living.
We want every child to leave with more than memories. We want them to carry lessons, friendships, values and goals that continue to shape their lives long after camp has ended.
A legacy lives on when its values are carried into the lives of others. Through Camp Martin, we hope to inspire a generation that pursues its passions with purpose, embraces sacrifice for worthwhile goals and builds life on a foundation of faith.
CAMP MARTIN — PASSION. SACRIFICE. SPIRITUALITY.
Honouring a life. Building the total person. Inspiring a generation.
The first edition is planned for April 2027. Register your interest to receive further information about dates, venue, programme and fees.
Help Us Build the Total Person
Camp Martin is more than a football camp. It is an opportunity to develop young people through Passion, Sacrifice and Spirituality, while equipping them with football skills, Christian values, leadership and essential life skills. As we prepare for our first edition in April 2027, we invite individuals, businesses, churches and well-wishers to partner with us in making this vision a reality. Your support can help provide accommodation, meals, football equipment, learning materials, transport, and sponsored places for children who may otherwise be unable to attend.
Every pledge brings us one step closer to giving more children a chance to grow, learn and thrive.
Whether you wish to contribute financially, provide goods or services, sponsor a child, or support the camp in another way, we would love to hear from you.
Make a Pledge. Support a Dream. Build a Generation.
